Lucene’s work has given hope to individuals and families who had been left without effective options for far too long.

Even from here in Aotearoa, watching her receive this honour was moving. It’s one thing to recognise someone’s impact on paper; it’s another to see the global community celebrate it.

Lucene, your guidance and mentorship were central to the development of Aotearoa’s first (and still only) MED-DBT programme back in 2016 — a programme that continues to grow and make a difference today.
